The Lockdown Project:  Built from the ground up, in a time when restrictions shaped how we lived and worked.

Designed and built by us in a backyard using basic hand and power tools. After several smaller camper builds and learning what worked and what didn’t, this van brings together everything we wanted for full-time travel.

This was 1 bad ass home project with a spec sheet that still dwarfs even some of the ‘elite’ branded caravans on the market today.

With over 70,000kms under its belt (as of Jan 2026) over various terain & conditions, it has proven to be reliable & so far, unbreakable.

  • 300 Litres of water in 2 banks with electronic tank switching.
  • 30 Litre tank for drinking water feed through a seperate pump, filter & steriliser. – We are able to detach tank and fill remotely.
  • 10L electric hot water 12v / 240v
  • Input for external gas hot water & for pumping out of creeks without contaminating onboard supply.
  • 100L grey water storage
